Comments from Gonca's Students
I've been with Gonca for three months now. I had no cello experience prior to coming to her. She is incredible at tailoring lessons to exactly your level. She is very professional and her love for the instrument is obvious. She finds great analogies and examples to help me learn things that are difficult to teach otherwise. She's always supportive, but challenges me at the same time. I always walk out of a lesson feeling inspired and excited. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone at any level of experience.

Gonca Huff is a great teacher! I took cello lessons from her for seven months, and .... I absolutely loved my lessons. She is very thorough, strict (in a good way), and won't let you get by with even a misplaced finger on a string, which sounds like it would be a con but I can assure you is a pro. One of the things I appreciated most about her was her straightforwardness: she always reminded me if I practiced daily (which included hand postures along with actual playing) as instructed, I would make progress. I did exactly what she told me, and as she predicted, progress was made---quickly....and I only took 30 minute lessons!
Gonca also has a great sense of humor. If, as her student, you show her you're serious about your learning, then it is quite easy to develop a rapport that soon turns into lots of joking and laughing before and after sessions. I miss my lessons and my playing TERRIBLY. I hope I can take cello lessons from her again in the future. In fact it is one of my dreams.
Thank you Gonca for helping to bring the love of cello playing into my life! Never again will I watch someone play that exquisite instrument as a mere enthusiast.
